Rhoda House is rented out year round on a weekly basis.
The first day of the hire is a Saturday unless prior arrangements are made well in advance with the owners.
A full list of conditions will be provided by the owners upon request or at the time of confirmation. Please send us an email via either of the links opposite to check availability at Rhoda House. The owners speak Greek and English
Getting There
From Europe there are charter flights available to the neighbouring island of Cephalonia. From the village of Sami take a ferry to Ithaca.
From Athens you can catch a bus to the Port of Patras. The bus company is KTEL, the address in Athens is 100 Kifissou, Athens tel # (01)-512 9498 The trip is approximately 3.5 hours leaving every 30 minutes.
Once in Patras you take a ferry to Ithaca arriving in the capital of the island Vathi. For those interested in visiting the Island of Cephalonia this ferry goes via there stopping in the village of Sami. The ferry company is Blue Star Ferries, with a ferry leaving Patras to Ithaca daily at 12.30pm. Blue Star Ferries have a web site with schedules & ferry prices for travel between Patras & Ithaca.
The other option is to fly from Athens to Cephalonia with Olympic Airways and then take the ferry from the village of Sami to Piso Aetos or Vathi on Ithaca. Olympic Airways have timetables & fare information. Cephalonia (Kefalonia) has the airport code of EFL in the timetable. (Early bookings are essential if you decide to fly).
Once in Greece please call ahead and book Costa the taxi driver to arrange a location and pick up time to bring you from the ferry to the village of Kioni. His mobile – 0944 790 943, home # 302 6740 31792. Costa speaks English. Otherwise there are taxis on arrival in Vathi.
